Labia and vagina tightening

For a long time, the intimate area was considered a taboo area for both women and men. However, the demands on the quality of life, including normal sexual functions, have increasingly led to the expansion of the spectrum of aesthetic rejuvenation in the woman's intimate area, which has often suffered particularly after childbirth. Statistically, about 65% of women experience signs of stretching after giving birth. Therefore, mothers in particular have the desire for a vaginal tightening.

When is a vaginal tightening recommended?

The symptoms of a relaxed vaginal wall can often be felt during sex: when the necessary elastic and firm posture of the genital organ fails, resulting in a reduction in the quality of sex life. With the anterior loosening of the vaginal wall, there are also occasional difficulties in holding the urine. Vaginal tightening is therefore indicated for normalizing feelings during sexual intercourse and for the above-mentioned symptoms of light urinary incontinence.

The normal tightness of the vagina regulates, among other things:

  • Intensity of contact of genital organs
  • Duration and intensity of erection
  • Occurrence and intensity of orgasm

How does the vaginal tightening work?

In aesthetic medicine, the posterior wall of the vagina is most commonly tightened and plasticized. The posterior wall of the vagina and the anterior wall of the rectum share a common wall. This wall is stretched and saggy in some women and should be strengthened to normalize sex life. To do this, the surgeon loosens the mucous membrane of the posterior vaginal wall and gathers the strong connective tissue underneath, creating a tight posterior vaginal wall. The mucous membrane is then sewn up again. The vaginal entrance is also tightened slightly, but this procedure alone would not be sufficient.

What are the limitations and risks?

After the operation, any sexual intercourse is forbidden for at least 6 weeks. It may take longer for a woman to fully return to her feelings, but both partners will feel the firmness immediately. Other specific risks are discussed in the consultation.
