Endoscopic Facelift

What is an Endoscopic Facelift?

Even in the 21st century, the endoscopic facelift is still an exceptional method, although endoscopic techniques are now established in many areas of surgery. They promise some advantages over other procedures, in particular the avoidance of visible scars and the associated risks. The endoscopic face lift as well as the endoscopic tightening of the midface are scar-saving "keyhole methods" of surgical face lifting, developed in Germany by Dr. Haffner has contributed with important publications and modification of the method and the face lift without incision on the face as a unique selling point Heumarkt Clinic developed in Cologne. The endoscopic facelift is particularly suitable for younger women and those whose skin has not yet progressed too far and can be corrected with a minimally invasive procedure. Clearly visible improvements can be achieved, but not quite as far-reaching changes as with a classic Facelift.

Tightening with an endoscopic facelift

Temples, eyebrows, cheeks and  the midface are tightened the most during an endoscopic facelift. The jaw is also significantly tightened. The endoscopic facelift was designed for young adults with the onset of fatigue and weak connective tissue around the eyes, eyebrows and cheeks.

How does an endoscopic facelift work?

During an endoscopic facelift, small incisions are made behind the hairline along the temples and, if necessary, inside the oral cavity under local or general anesthesia. Through these small incisions, the surgeon removes excess skin and tissue and lifts and re-stitches the remaining tissue. With this technique, for example, the eyebrows can be optically shifted upwards, but the forehead or cheeks can also be tightened. For this reason, an endoscopic facelift is ideal for patients who want the most gentle treatment possible.

Endoscopic facelift - indication - alternatives

The endoscopic facelift is particularly suitable for the upper facial area - cheek lift, eyebrow lift, light eyelid correction by tightening the temples and the corner of the eyelid as well as the lower eyelid. An endoscopic facelift is particularly suitable for women whose skin aging is not very advanced. However, if the signs of aging are already relatively pronounced and a larger tightening is required, there may be a Facelift rather in question. The appropriate treatment method should always be discussed with the doctor treating you.
